Ingredients |
Onions -5 |
Ginger – 1 small piece |
Gram Flour – 2 cups |
Salt – 1 teaspoon |
Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon |
Water – 1/2 cup |
Vegetable oil – 1/2 cup |
Instructions: |
1. Chop onions into long pieces. |
2. Chop ginger into very small pieces and add to the chopped onions. |
3. Add gram flour, turmeric and salt into the chopped onions. Optionally, you can also add some red chilli powder to make it a bit spicy. |
4. Mix everything well. |
5. In a deep pan or wok, heat vegetable oil. |
6. Make small balls of the onion mixture and deep fry in the hot oil. |
7. After about 30 seconds, flip the ulli vada to fry the other side. |
8. Serve while still hot with tea or coffee!!! |
